I think normalised earnings will be quite good for NST, POGO seems to be delivering now even on reduced output. The grade is awesome. ASIC should decline across the board with higher throughput and higher grade.
If you can afford to be patient for 12 months i think you will be rewarded.
Overall what are the alternatives, i've wanted to rotate some of my NST out but i can't find an alternative. The stock market is about 15% off its highs with huge structural issues with the economy, mass unemployment with employees furloughed, businesses shutdown, oil price has cratered, oil companies will likely follow (the average cost of production is US$30), banks forecasting defaults, property and tenancy rates likely to decline, and were only 15% off from the highs and mass worldwide stimulus.
The only thing i would consider is selling NST and buying other gold related stocks, by the time i factor in tax i'm sitting where i am.
I do like the baseline production figures and am willing to wait for a full qtr of production because i think everyone is underestimate the normalised earnings
