I can't think of anything more stupid than antagonising China.

China is neither our competitor nor our enemy. They are the primary source of Australia's economic prosperity for the past several decades. Jeopardising that source because they use a different system to organise their economy is like shooting ourselves in the face.

This faux posturing to appease nationalist americans is going to cost us very badly.
