Hi PharmD, I have had PRP into my right knee after skiing mishap and the injection is guided through the joint while the doctor is watching the ultrasound machine. I imagine stem cells are put into knee joint in similar way. An ex professional soccer player friend had a new cartilage grown in a petri dish with stem cells and then had the knee opened up and new cartilage glued in place. All these things are more invasive than an injection into the fat tissue.
IMHO.
