Its worth noting than in the worst of the GFC (which its hard to compare this scenario too), when banks in America & Australia hit bottom they were not only bailed out or Government backstopped, they had structural problems. Due to the G8 agreements and reccomendations these issues are no longer present. Theres no signs of those structural problems. Reforms have strengthen the sector significantly in preperation for such scenarios.
Looking back on trends, the % reached now demonstrate significant upside. This is just my opinion, DYOR, but i believe the sun is rising not setting.
Has the bottom been reached?, upside outways downside..
