Geez Prophet, I just got a contract on one rental property and I'm still trying to sell another.....have been trying since July with both. I see the interest rate falls and the new home owner grant as my chance to escape.

Certainly no time to be getting into debt that's for sure.....that part is not debatable.

I have always been a big property fan and have made much more there than i ever did in the stock market. I am unsure of the outlook but I tend toward bearish. we have not yet seen the big falls like OS or as we have on the stockmarket. If the general economy gets raggy for years to come it could get tricky esp if we get stagflation......falling values and rents. rising interest rates....no buyers to allow you to escape.....but then again I am scarred by the experience of buying my first home in the early 80s when interest rates were 18%

I am now rather concentrating on a stockmarket bottom.

    Just my opinion.
