My intention was to warn against following Buffet's advice. He strikes me as the ultimate showman who forces down a cherry coke and burger once a year to make the crowd believe he walks the talk. Meanwhile, most retail investors have a lonely working life without access to an office full of wonks or a Charles Munger to throw ideas to. They can't emulate his method of investment as they don't have access to high politics.

I didn't know about his silver activities, but it doesn't surprise me. Americans have an historic affinity for silver.

Buffet has famously talked down gold in the past, as almost all the so-called elite do. But we know the central banks hold tons of it for a reason.
