Everybody is "looking forward" to opening the economies expecting a scenario like "tap water" ... credit would flourish (not like pre-covid when they were slowing down) and people would spend all their money (and borrow more) ... while many have no money left, others had their salaries reduced or lost everything. But who cares about economy when looking forward ? Good example is the bull 2019 ... 20-30% run in a single year while real economies were almost in recession. I started to believe that markets are indeed controlled by algos and can move anyway without knowing which is itself dangerous f9r the entire economy when looking forward. You can expect to finish the year higher than it started and when everyone is happy next year to crash again because the results were not aligned with the expectation of 2020.
