Yes a company that's outside of the Top 300 can be a bit of ho hum...but enter one of the prized cut offs like top 300...top 200 and of course top 100 and its a different exposure entirely.

B] Forced buy-in

Some large funds are simply not allowed to invest in or interested in the small fish. What's the point of a massive Insto. taking a 40% stake in us...it will simply paralyse us and stymie results potentially...leave aside the fact that the Aussie Corporations act wouldn't allow it anyway and how can they acquire such a percentage on market anyway. On the contrary some large funds are compelled to take a stake of every company in certain bands such as the Top 100 or Top 300 etc. They are forced to take an exposure to all companies in that bracket. For this reason our exposure increases. There are also fund like Vanguard, Beta Shares etc that will also be forced to take us up to some extent so that their "Aussie" exposure is maintained via their Hedged and Non Hedged Index funds. This all adds to our story.

C] Coverage

Larger companies such as those to be found in the top X bands garner more exposure and this also means more investment houses and analysts cover us. Whats the advantage of that? Well they inform their clients about us and all of a sudden we hit so many more radars. There are so many US specialist and boutique funds that will automatically start researching any new companies that hit the Top X Strata, even if they are in the Aussie market, of course this will get accelerated (in my view) once their American Footballers start talking about us and we get the exciting ensuing media coverage).

Thanks Mozz, clear as day From what I can find the next rebalance is 22nd June which was delayed from March because of COVID. Does this sound correct?
