The principles of solvent exchange can be easily and effectively leveraged and augmented using technologies and solid supports common to ion and ligand exchange modalities.
No question in my mind that is what Hatch is doing.
The supported scale remains in question, but any separation of any REEs other than LREEs is automatically constrained to a suitable scale.
Hatch is an expert in what he's doing; you are an accountant. Restrain yourself, please.
