My post wasn't very long, did you purposely ignore the fact that businesses incur fees for charge backs when claiming there is no monetary loss? Would you concede that it takes time to deal with charge backs which would also equate to money in the form of staff wages?
it is also not an absolute fact that cosmetic or virtual items can't be traded in modern games. There are hundreds of examples of third party markets for in game items. Never heard of someone's account getting hacked and having their items stolen? No KYC means allowing items to come into existence, potentially be traded, and then having to sort out the subsequent mess.
There is also the possibility of people initiating charge backs fraudulently as they might regret making a purchase. KYC protects the revenue for the sale in that situation.
