Certainly a lot of front, m12, must be enjoying the spoils of war, at least living off the fat of the shareholder's land.... plenty of good rich food, no doubt.... definitely on a good paddock.

I think he could have set out with some noble ideals, perhaps had some grandiose plans when he was mixing it with the cream at Oxford.
Maybe we could borrow a speech from a Liberal Speech Writer, perhaps even a Bishop's underling and have it delivered by someone "worthy"..... just in case the current ruler falls on his sword.... who will fill the gap? who is worthy?......
