Moff,
The CSIRO report interpreted that the offsetting well at Swell was tight due to cement from brines that migrated up the fault and filled the pore spaces ( Silica based, iron based are two examples). This was determined by core studies at swell, the interpretation is that this is localised closed to the fault as is the case in other locations and other basins globally.
