Unlike New Zealand, no where in Australia has the construction industry been halted or told to down tools.
FBA has one job. That is to build walls so that revenue can be passed to FBR.
The only explanation I can think of is that FBA currently doesn't have the ability to build walls due to FBR's failure to have a commercially functional HX. Blaming this on COVID is poor form.
Given Simon was running FBA, in terms of corporate structure being aligned with corporate ability it is logical to let Simon go. Without a commercially functional HX, Simon has no tools for FBA to use to bring in revenue.
In terms of accountability for failure, Simon was in my view the wrong person to be forced to take a 100% pay cut and be let go.
There are others that should have been first to go.
On the plus side, Simon is now free to move on to the next challenge, rather than be strung along as a passenger on the slow moving train wreck.
