    From what I understand, this virus spreads to multiple organs. I'm no doctor but oral application seems inadequate for the cases that are receiving treatment with hydroxychloroquine, which tend to be more serious.

    Hydroxychloroquine also has the advantage of being generic and widely available. Is there enough hinokitiol production capacity in the world to make a dent? Is there a way to synthesize it or can it only be extracted from a special tree?
