Because imho the strategy is good, and also because it provides reassurance to the doubters that the project is “on track”.

As to information leakage, note this from todays release:

”Pre-Front End Engineering Design (“pre-FEED”) contracts were recently awarded to three leading contractors.”

You can’t get to the stage of actually awarding contracts to three parties without a hell of a lot of people knowing about it.

When was “recent”? Maybe last Friday? Someone celebrating perhaps?

My evidence is all about coincidence, all circumstantial and quite speculative, but it sure beats the usual TO mantra imho.

Anyway I am happy, as safely nursing this project through the covid phase is what is important for CVN this year. We can wait until next year for some exploration exuberance and elephant hunting to resume.
