The VB solution would work but there is another easier way. Open a new Excel sheet. Put the cursor in cell A1. Select Insert--> Name-->Define. Type fEvaluate as the name. In the box 'refers to' type =B1+C1. Click OK.
Now enter =fEvaluate in cell A1 and it will be the sum of B1 and C1. Copy fEvaluate down and it will work for other rows as well.
This is a very useful technique. If you need to change the formulae you can do it in one place instead of modifying every cell which contains the formuale.
Good luck.
