It seems that noone commenting on the beef issue with China has actually read the comments of the Australian beef exporters today (in the Australian) where tyhey stated that this issue started in Oct 2019 as a technical labelling issue and it has happened before in 2018 and 2017, Chinese imoprt regulations are very strict with absolutely correct labelling and the current Australian labelling has some issue. It is being sorted out at an import regulation level. Meat exporters said it had nothing to do with Corona virus issues. I have in the past (pre 2010) exported seafood and when shippi9ng to China have had to send our labelling information to a qualified translater in a Qld uni and then submit the label to the import authorities in China for approval before we could use them and ship.
Everyone may need to back off a bit and sit down and have a quiet cup of tea and let these issues get sorted out where they always have.
