Also in relation to the reports by VGI these were addressed in 2018 just after their release by CTD. The insolvency insinuations regarding alleged cash flow shortfalls were laughable and after all this time and saturation media CTD have never in reality had a cash shortfall.
The funny thing is that VGI actually recognised and highlighted CTD's supernormal returns in the report. The strange thing is that VGI failed to mention let alone analyse the CTD business model which explains the high returns.
After all this time the reports are now historical and should be treated with caution. I suggest holders should refer to more recent information.
It will be interesting to see how and when VGI close their position.
One thing the lockdown shows is how much people missed and need personal contact. Zoom is great and will cut back a bit of low level business travel but once confidence returns so will the travel. May take a little time though. People need the personal contact. Zoom will work well for low level team meetings where people work from home spending less time in the office. A hell of a lot of work, relationship building, networking and decisions are made during personal contact after meetings. Zoom cant replace that and it wont take long for businesses to recognise or remember this.
In the meantime the CTD share price will be influenced by market movements and we may see some market falls at some stage. No predictions here though. So the market may provide some interesting entry opportunities. A exit by VGI may see a price spike.
Like most of the listed businesses CTD will have temporary profitability issues. CTD however have a strong balance sheet and that will be the common theme amongst those businesses that survive and thrive post Covid19.
