Hydrogen is not suitable for passenger cars that is for sure but it can be viable for big transport like boats / busses / planes... not for sure on this cause when solid state is proved hydrogen may not be the solution for any type of transport.
Hydrogen will find a place but it will be as power plants and replace coal/nuclear/gas plants, when hydrogen is crated with solar or wind you have green hydrogen energy with no waste, all imo
