Back in the wild 90's I sailed regularly with a very likeable bloke who was making an awful amount of money selling a parallel to serial adaptor for computers. It was contained in a very impressive box with a couple of flashing lights on the top. His Company was called MTBox Pty Ltd.

Around the same time I also sailed on a boat owned by a bloke who ran a boutique finance company that specialised in leasing IT and communication equipment to remote indigenous communities. He was enormously proud of the fact that he had a fax machine on Thursday Island that had paid for itself 100 times over and had never been connected.

The hopefully salient point I am trying to make is that often a business doesn't actually have to do much of any worth to be successful. In many cases it is about selling the sizzle not the sausage.

I certainly hope for the sake of many on here that the sizzle emitting from NOR's announcements isn't just the dying gasp from an almost empty gas bottle.

Always enjoy your purple prose, Bottle. It is a welcome reprieve from the tortuous jargon of Norwood announcements so fondly quoted by other posters. And it lifted my spirits after the hurt suffered by an earlier post denigrating Aotearoa.

I was inspired by your MTBox anecdote. The comparison with Norwood is stark. Konkol and Kurtz, as far as I'm aware, didn't slaughter $30 million of shareholder funds.

Mind you, Norwood did have a promotional yacht, so there is one similarity. I often wonder what happened to HMAS Corona. Is it in Ostergaard's garage, or is it deep below surface in the Indian Ocean ?
