The former Western Australian Premier and lobbyist Brian Burke has been charged with corruption.
He is one of three people facing charges over Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) hearings over the past year.
The lobbyist Julian Grill also faces one charge of corruption.
Former Labor minister Norm Marlborough has been charged with giving false testimony.
The charges relate to investigations into Smith's Beach, land rezoning at Whitby, and lobbying around the pearling industry.
The director of operations at the Corruption and Crime Commission, Nick Anticich, says the matters were dealt with at public hearings held by the CCC between October 2006 and February 2007.
He said the false evidence charges relate to testimony at those hearings.
All three are due to appear in court on December 12
