Now this is news, thank you. Whatever info I dug up from 2011 either way off or price has risen a ton in the last decade. So $1m gets you 40kg of hinokitiol. Mock-up on the Dr. Zinx website shows a 20mL bottle. Effective concentration is 0.2mg/kg but I assume the solution will have a higher concentration... otherwise the math works out to 10 billion bottles, And we are probably not there quite yet.

Personally I thought there was something off with the wording and the intended meaning was manufacturing the hinokitiol+zinc solution. It's probably a chicken and egg type situation, supply is low and prices are high because demand is pretty niche. If the team can make it cheaply and find more use cases for the masses, worth a shot.
