I initially thought that it was somewhat of an odd time for them to do the capital raise, because companies normally time the raise around half-year / annual results reporting time. While I recognize that the covid crisis would've disrupted the business, they certainly had enough cash in the bank to wait a month or so to time their cap raise along with their annual result announcement (which I believe is going to happen next week). Noting all of this, my conclusion is that they may have wanted to announce the acquisition along with their results announcement, and they've got the cap raise out of the way to facilitate such an announcement and to act quickly to make the most of any opportunity.

Not sure if it's just wishful thinking of an eager shareholder, but it would certainly put a rocket under the share price if they announce good annual result and an acquisition.
