How much commission did you pay on the way in?
If you are going to switch anything and you need a financial adviser see if you can find a flat fee for service adviser who remits all the entry fee to you. If they talk about no entry fee funds then be aware that those charge higher ongoing fees.
If you are prepared to choose your own fund then download the prospectus from Comsec or somebody else and pay no entry fee.
3% entry fee on $400,000 means your starting amount is $388,000 on day one - a bit of a handicap for the first few years. This could happen if you switch now from Westpac to MLC unless you get the fees clear. You have to speak to the adviser about the fees up front - be calm and get it clear.
