Not sure why you are disappointed, better they get on the front foot and be transparent with the market rather than deliver what is a relatively minor miss in reporting season.
I also don't understand your broker comment. Brokers provide some input and perhaps some influence over a portion of the market, but in the end their views gets washed into the price with everyone else.
