commsec iress another backward step, page-26

I cant believe I am defending Commsec (read:suc) ... I hate everything about them ... but IMO the move to webiress is the first real progressive move they have made accross their trading platforms in 20 years!!!

Yes its visually different to PT, which if you are used to it will take some time to get used to ... but honestly guys, In most departments, PT is rubbish. Webiress is far superior.

However the points mentioned:

"no Indicated Open
no pdf file link to announcements"

Are not acceptable .. Etrade's Poweretrade allows all of those and more

The downside of Webiress is the visual aspect, you do need a large, high quality monitor.

As for the ability to change the colour scheme ... You cant with Etrade either. That limitation might be courtesy of Iress themselves. At least Poweretrade is a light blue ... much easier on the eyes than Commsec's garish YELLOW!!

But once Comsec fix the above mentioned shortcomings, I am sure that those who stick with it, will consign PT1 & PT2 to their rightful place .... The Recycle Bin!! And, I daresay, never look back.
