Your original query and statement were:
"Why would it have any effect on RFF?
RFF has nothing to do with JBS apart from being their landlord."
Just so we all go away with an understanding of the relationship between RFF Group and JBS Australia. Yes they are the feedlot landlords but also RFF Group are second ranking security (Up to $100m Guarantee) behind the Financiers (first ranking) on the secured assets of J&F (Up to $333m in loans). Source: Grant Thornton.
Final comment:
Hopefully there will be no major effect of the 2 JBS abattoir red meat import bans by China and that JBS get their labeling compliant yet again.
IMHO RFM as owners and responsible entity of J&F are in the best financial position as they would have a buffer of $100 on default/windup of any J&F's $330m loan shortfalls, in a worst case scenario.
Thanks for the joust.
