Maybe but GP struggling to get close to US$1800 - historical high coincidently. US$2,000 is possible but there does not seem much to move it that way that has not already happened over the last few months.
I recall that there were lots of commentary when it did hit US$1800 in 2012(?) saying gold would spike to US$5,000 by those with interest in gold.
Gold price is one of those untamed beasts - it can go up or down when all indications are the opposite.
US$1750 seems to be a sticking point at the moment. Maybe if US$ is reached and breached then the GP might reach another higher level. I have a feeling that gold has plateaued to be honest.
