LMG iproject was and still is a large scale pilot plant. Normally pilot plants do not run economically because their purpose is to gather data that can be used as a good platform to scale up from i.e. it is a loss making endeavour.
IF the Germans still have interest and they SHOULD as China supplies their magnesium and magnesium as been determined a critical metal given EU reliance on it from China.
I would imagine enthusiasm is at least as strong as a few years ago and maybe even stronger now and Germans feeling a little chuffed they were ahead of the game.
