An email that has gone out to a number of Australian producers looking to tailor agricultural systems to be able to produce with minimal inputs and in Australia's drying climate ... Jimmy was initially funded by Jamie Oliver to get this series going.

    JIMMY'S WORLD FARM

I am working on a major new BBC television series about farming around the world - 'Jimmy's World Farm'. We are taking British farmer and tv presenter Jimmy Doherty (from 'Jimmy's Farm' which I believe has been shown on Australian tv) on a world trip to find out about farming and food supply around the globe. In light of the world food crisis we will be looking at the big challenges of feeding our growing population, water shortages, soil degradation, climate change, animal and plant disease, etc. Jimmy will be meeting the best, most optimistic, and most innovative farmers who are trying to overcome these problems.

We are making a 6 part series with 1 whole programme about Australia, so I am currently looking for farmers to showcase the best of Australian agriculture. In this programme we will be looking for ways that Australian farmers and agricultural scientists are leading the world by finding new ways to farm in a warmer, drier climate. Jimmy will want to find out what the rest of the world can learn from Australian farmers about coping with climate change and drought, and how to be more sustainable in a changing future.
