Here is my take on this. In recent years, every time I have read that a small company is sitting on some giant bonanza of cash about to erupt into our bank accounts, the rainbow has dissolved before it can happen, usually through a devious management sellout, or becuase pigs on the wing with deeper pockets than ours swoop in and scoop up the lot very early on, ie a cheap takeover. I'll be very pleasantly surprised if the long term holders do much more than double their money here.
