You can only claim where an income is derived from the investment, the income cannot be in the form of a capital gain only is my understanding.
As it stands, you could not make any interest claim if you purchased MSB shares currently using an investment loan. In the future once a dividend is paid then any purchase based on an investment loan allows the interest payable on the capital costs to be claimed.
