The current economic downturn is the story.

The penny stock forums are the only one's worth commenting on - the others (eg LGL) have floods of posts and many of them contain research and links. For those I am a reader only.

One can post messages regarding news releases, shifts in stock prices, changes in the depth and you don't have to do so within 10 seconds of the news.

The other thing about the Blue Chip stocks lists is that one's posts are ignored. Those people that are responded to are pounding the forums and posting images and graphs etc.

So it is the choice forum, not a choice of stock. At the moment I am posting on IIG and ALB forums. I sold out of the other penny stocks (though ALB was $3.50 earlier this year) and I don't bother posting on Blue chip forums, though I'm in and out of LGL among other stocks.

On the issue of risers and fallers, I did some research in December last year and compiled a list of companies that only ever seemed to rise from IPO to the present (December 2007) and posted the results including charts to some of my friends (for a bit of a laugh). I'll copy-paste the text from Dec Last year and then calculate the peak to trough for this year. It is interesting to see how many massive falls there are.

Note that not all peaks were at the beginning of the year (many stocks peaked around June) and not all are at the bottom currently.
Note that only one stock in my list of risers rose this year.
