I will be homeschooling my chlld also for the rest of the year - due to his vulnerable health. Leaves your head spinning at the end of the day . As you have to set the task , teach the task , make sure they understand the task , make sure they have done the task , correct the task, then teach the task again , because they don't yet understand it . This doesn't necessarily happen in a classroom . The kid just moves onto the next lesson whether they got it or not, and whether they did the work or not - having to do a lot of back teaching - for what he hasn't understood while in the classroom - due to being sick too often . Hard to trade at the same time . But it is very satisfying , when you see the look on your child's face when they finally get what you are teaching. Once they have missed too many classes , a lot of what happens at school is not understood - too many missing links , and the kids are tempted to think they are not smart .
