Personally I'd be making my buying decisions regardless of the SPP.
An alternative scenario is the price may go up more in the meantime than any 'theoretical' selling pressure you suggest may happen. Personally, I'm not even sure that selling pressure will eventuate. Of course if the market price heads down substantially in the meantime there may well be selling pressure when the new ones are issued... but that's a punt rather than a given.
Aside from the fact it's gone up about $2 in just the past couple of days, where you could have had that thought a couple of days ago and lost out on that gain just then by waiting.
