Yes they are some of the most important things in drug development besides the obvious -does it work. Do yourself a favor and run quick search on “why does bioavailability matter for drugs?” and “why does protein binding matter for drugs?”
The bugs don’t actually “sit on the skin” (see link below on skin colonization) so delivering medicine (permetrex) is necessary to have desired effect.
