The risks are always around & we forgot to mention the sand storms that can sometimes sends sand all way to Europe.
Barrick gold resolved the issues in Tanzania last week & may now consider building a processing plant in the country to overcome disputes about amout of gold in concentrate sent overseas & hence taxes. Also an offer had been made to PNG landowners for a bigger stake in the mine to resolve the Porgera Mine dispute. We don't know if that works out.
Have a look at social unrest and out of control riots across USA this week. People are burning down shops , police cars and some are calling for Communism!!! Hong Hong is looking bad again. Lets hope Australia dosnt do copycat riots because our mining industry may suffer.
