I am of the exact opposite opinion - look up every despot in history - first they take away civilians guns then the genocide starts - same playbook always - why do you think all the school shootings - to try to get the public to give up their constitutional rights of self defence. The USA can only be defeated from within by infiltration and insurgency(Obama) - Militarily no chance.
Howard made sure Aussies can't defend themselves - I know more than I can say publically (25 years as a cop)
