Well then, NAB should have made it a rights issue, either renounceable, or non-renounceable with provision for a % oversubscription, not a SPP. However, I suspect the non-capped nature of the SPP provides greater likelihood of them getting the monies they are seeking if things are turning to $h!t. The opportunity cost is borne solely by the applicants via having excess funds tied up if the raising goes well.
