Totally agree with this. Just because Regal are good at burning retail punters, doesn't mean they're bad investors.
This substantial looks more to me like Regal trimming their position to either cover fund redemptions or because it was too large as a % of the fund. As we all know, they do short the stock and then buy up at the bottom, but that should result in them maintaining or increasing their shares held.
