After BHP walking away from what is now identified as the largest high grade Ni deposit in the world I would be very cautious about any Ni play.
IF BHP can't make it work, as they indicated, then they don't have much faith in the future of Ni IMO. That was no small decision on their part and I admire there commitment to stick with there internal risk mitigation plan.
I thought MRE would come back after the gas situation but then the problems mounted and continue to do so. Selling product for less than production cost is not particularly smart if that is what is occuring.
Take care.
