Another jolly Sabretooth post.
Sabretooth, some facts --- and I am no brain surgeon.
Oil traded at $147 US per barrel for 5 minutes.
BHP DID NOT derive the bulk of its oil revenue at $140 or $147 per barrel as you imply.
Crude oil revenue for BHP was $9.547 Bill at an average of $97. Iron ore was $9.455 Billion.
Crude oil production has increased sharply this financial year and so will probably offset the lower price per barrel.
Fundamentals and share price are unrelated.
Nonetheless BHP share price is 50% DOWN on its peak.
Do you think that might just...just reflect the lower expected earnings?
