One tip I can suggest is to focus more on timing than I usually do. I tend to focus on fundamentals, but the smart investors do better by being reasonably good at reading the market too.
I figured NEA's business had potential, and bought at about the current price, only to see the SP fall a fair bit. I bought more CCP to cover what I thought I might lose on NEA. NEA recovered and CCP went up, so my total profit all came from CCP.
