Rub, I'm interested as to why you think averaging down is so bad. Not knocking you at all, I'm definately no fan of brokers, but to me from a long term perspective, if you don't think your shares are going to go up again then you really should sell them all anyway. And if you do think they are going to go up again then why wouldn't you consider buying more at a cheaper price?

Again, not knocking you, I'm getting as much of a hiding here as anyone, just interested in the logic
