Have you been into www.thebongovirus.com and had a look.
It's a culmination of ebay, facebook, my space, jamster, lavalife, trading post. I was on it today and there were 50 000 people on line at the time.
The good thing about it is the ability to download ringtones and/or games for a one off fee without having to subscribe for a weekly amount.
You can sell, buy or swap items, talk to your friends.
And what is unique is the ability to sms to mobiles via computer and visa versa (which may be handy for businesses needing to get info to staff quickly and cheaply).
I hope this doesn't get moderated due to the 'advertising" but I can assure the moderators that it is directly related to the CQU..
I suppose the nerdy geeks who don't go out for NYE will susbscribe to the "secret" online NYE party, just to see Paris Hilton...
If this can compete with the competitors (even just 10%) we could be looking at a money spinner...
In relation to the word "virus", I certainly hope it spreads like one. But I can see your point...
