What does that even mean?
What 'democratic world'?
Can you explain to me how we in the west have ANY say in what government does and does to us? If you can show me that formal mechanism whereby 'we the majority' can direct and forbid the government according to our will then I shut up. And no, simply choosing who gets to lord it over us for the next three years is not 'democracy'.
