I can recall the question being asked at a previous AGM about whether potential customers might balk at a high initial price for the AudioPixels speaker compared with the current cost of conventional (analogue) micro speakers for e.g. mobile phones.

I think it was Yuval who responded by describing what happened when MEMS devices were first introduced for microphones. He said that, although the cost of the MEMS was several times the cost of the earlier technology, the performance was so superior that MEMS now dominates the microphone market to the point where it is almost impossible to find a microphone that isn't a MEMS device.

I sincerely hope such progress will be repeated with AudioPixel's MEMS speaker.
