I don't think this will happen. My logic dictates that large fund managers will want to by into the assets directly.
Heres why.
Alot of listed funds and REIT's have frozen distributions. Given that how do you run an income fund for retiree's? Given it is going to take BBI time to restart distributions even if they sell assets (about 2010) why would they buy in? Absolute return funds may, but they are getting little support from investors at the moment.
Therefore, these wholesale funds will want to go straight to the asset. It is not all bad news, as I believe this supports my theory that the assets are worth book and above, due to their regulated income flows.
