The points on both sides is making this a great discussion.
Personally, I don't think NVX will have a contract (other than battery testing) with Tesla anytime soon, simply because they don't have the capacity to fill their immediate requirements. If consumers know theres gonna be a million mile battery on the market soon, a fair proportion would hold off and wait for the upgrade.
However, once they start producing their own batteries they would certainly look at NVX as a potential supplier with no trade war risk. I wouldn't be surprised if Tesla has at least started the qualification process with NVX.
