Maybe you are a tad confused. I am not in denial about environmental consequences of brine extraction - particularly in the Atacama; just pointing out the simple hypocrisy of shouting about how damaging a competitor's product may be while ignoring the carbon intensity issues of spodumene. I don't know if it is possible to determine which is worse for the environment, lowering of water tables in locations of scarcity or adding to carbon emissions by mining and processing spodumene. However at the end of the day both are a key tool in the fight against climate change, despite the destruction required to enable the desired outcome through mineral usage. The best any company can do is strive to be as sustainable as possible. I really don't see the need for endless links in a pot vs kettle manner.
